App Data Deletion Policy
1. Your Right to Leave — Fully and Freely
At Pathao, we want you to use our platform because it genuinely helps your business — not because you feel locked in. If you ever decide to disconnect your Facebook account or close your Pathao Enterprise Suite account, you have the full right to have any associated information removed from our systems, no questions asked.
This policy explains how that process works and what you can expect from us.
2. How to Request Removal of Your Information
There are three easy ways to request the removal of your information:
3. What Gets Removed
Once a removal request is confirmed, all information that was brought into the platform through your Meta connection will be permanently cleared from our systems within 30 days. This includes:
- Any access tokens or credentials used to connect your Facebook or Instagram accounts
- Conversations and messages that were synced from your Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp Business inboxes
- Customer records that were created from interactions through those connected channels
- Ad campaign reports and performance data that had been pulled from Meta
- Product and catalog information that was synced from your Facebook Shop
- Any other identifying information tied to your Meta account within the platform
After removal, the platform will no longer have any access to or record of your connected accounts.
4. Minimal Exceptions
In a small number of situations, a limited amount of information may need to be kept for a short period after your request. This applies only to:
- Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics that hold no personally identifying information
- Financial or billing records that are required to be kept under Bangladeshi law
- Information that is directly relevant to an unresolved billing dispute or legal matter
